We are thrilled to announce the upcoming debut of our exclusive artist, countertenor Franko Klisovic, with Oper Frankfurt on November 10, 2024. Franko will take the stage as Arsace in Handel’s Partenope (marking his debut in this role) on November 10, 12, 14, and 16, under the baton of George Petrou and directed by Julia Burbach.
Following these Frankfurt performances, Franko’s season will include more notable role and house debuts. In December 2024 and January 2025, he will take on the role of Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, directed by Kresimir Dolencic.
The excitement continues into spring 2025 as Franko performs at Madrid’s renowned Teatro Real in March and April. Under the musical direction of Ivor Bolton and stage direction of Claus Guth, he will bring the character of Arbate to life in Mitridate, re di Ponto.
In May 2025, Franko will make his debut at Venice’s La Fenice, performing as the third actor in Kurt Weill’s The Protagonist. His season concludes with appearances as Tolomeo in Handel’s Giulio Cesare, scheduled for June and July 2025 at Ostrava Opera and the Znojmo Music Festival.
