Standing ovations and enthusiastic, never-ending applause followed the performances of Teseo (opera by George Frideric Handel) on 26 May 2024 at the Narodowe Forum Muzyki in Wrocław and on 28 May 2024 at the Francke Foundations in Halle as part of the Handel Festival Halle 2024. The rarely performed Handel opera worked magnificently in concert form in Wrocław and Halle.

The musical direction of this rediscovery was in the hands of Jaroslaw Thiel, who conducted his Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra to a high standard. The young, excellent group of singers was led by the male soprano Dennis Orellana in the title role, who already appeared at La Scala di Milano and the Salzburg Festival in 2023. The important roles of Medea and Agilea were perfectly cast with Fanny Lustaud and Suzanne Jerosme. The two wonderful Croatian artists, Sonja Runje as Egeo and Franko Klisovic as Arcane, Johanna Rosa Falkinger as Clizia and Michał Pytlewski perfectly complemented the high-calibre cast. The Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra shone. Here is an overview of the cast:
