From an early age on, Jaimy had been dancing at Elisabeth Dance Center in Zeist, the Netherlands before joining the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam at the age of 12. During a summer school course which he won by a competition in The Hague, he was offered a three-year scholarship by director Gailene Stock CBE AM, to complete his studies at The Royal Ballet School in London. At the age of 16, he moved to the United Kingdom and as part of his studies, he danced and gained experience with The Royal Ballet, Covent Garden and The Birmingham Royal Ballet. After graduating in London, he received a contract at the age of 19 with Vienna State Opera Ballet as a full-time member. In the 15 years at the Vienna State Opera, he worked with world famous choreographers and danced all major classical repertoire ballets as well as neo-classical and contemporary works. Also, he was seen many times dancing at the worldwide broadcast annual New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. After finishing his professional career, he decided to study Tourist- and Event management at University of Economics in Vienna. During his career as a professional dancer, he developed a passion for classical music and opera. As part of his studies, Jaimy now works at Parnassus Arts Productions as an intern. He is excited to learn more about the opera world and hopes to bring his experience from big opera houses into practice.
